Not sure if this is related to being on VoIP, or if it would affect POTS just the same. Most evenings for the last week we have had silent calls. Below is a list of the numbers as they show on our phone.

Should not be related to being on VoIP. The only times I have one way calls is on my mobile when I accidentally mute the phone being a touch screen against my ear...

I've had the same thing on my Telecom line... Caller ID just said private number...I noted the times then rang Telecom and asked them to give me the number so i coudl call and find out what was going on. They initially said they wouldn't do that but eventually told me it had something to do with the Microsoft XP & Vista Support Services phone scam. Apparently they have computer auto dialling our numbers but as there call centres are so busy there no "agent" to put the call through to. hence the silence.

I have also had constant middle of the night call on my VFX line.. they were all from India...mostly messages in Indian where you could make out a kind of "hello?" These persisted for sometime i just used to last number block them in freepbx. The list probably had about 80 numbers on it.. and sometimes they'd prefix an extra 0 on the number. I used to annoy me somewhat that id ring the number back and rant at them in english in the middle of their night as despite calls to WxC they couldn't just block all call from that dialling code to my line.

I have blocked anonymous calls. Some telemarketers have enabled caller ID, but still getting very few. Did get one 0000 number the other day, but we were not home.
