I'm hoping someone out there can possibly help me, or point me in the right direction.

Recently, I've replaced an older AV Receiver with a new Onkyo TX-NR609. The 609 allows HDMi PassThru which I have set to be auto. Into the 609 I have connected the T-Box into HDMi 1, the Blu Ray into HDMi 3, the Xbox 360 into HDMi 4. Then the HDmi Out to the TV. In the settings I have changed it so as the buttons relate to the inputs. On the back of the Unit Cable\Satelite TV is HDMi 3 and BluRay is HDMi 1. Game is static at HDMi 4.

The issue I am having is that with the 609 in Standby if I am watching TV from the T-box, the 609 is passing the signal through which is what you'd expect. If you then turn on the Xbox, the 609 (still in standby) recognizes the new input signal and the picture on the TV becomes the Xbox screens. Same applies if it was the Blu ray powered up when watching TV, the 609 recognizes the Blu ray signal and the picture changes.

However, when you turn off either the Xbox or Bluray, depending on what you had on, the 609 does not recognize the signal of the T-box. The workaround is to power on the 609, switch it to Cab\Sat, which puts T-box TV back on screen, then switch it off again.

Yes, I could always have the 609 on, but I don't always want full surround or Big stereo sound from it, especially not at nght when Kids are asleep and I only need sound from the TV. Some of my older DVD's are only 2 channel anyways, so I don't need the 609 on just for 2 channels, the TV stereo sound is fine.

After all my ramblings, does the T-Box not send a true HDMi signal via the HMDi output? Or am I missing a setting on the 609 somewhere?

I've had a look at the T-Box settings, but can't see anything meaningful. Is there something under 'engineering' which needs to be changed, but i don't know the 8 digit PIN.
