Hi all, Just wondering how the IPv6 offering is coming along? I see that you are no longer accepting new applications for your closed trial (http://www.wxnz.net/ipv6-trial/), but have a mainstream offering in the works. Any idea of the timeframe to having this available? How about requirements for equipment? Vlan id of 10 over a PPPoE connection (euba - pvc 0/110), or, some of the config samples on the trial site mention pvc 0/100 so using PPPoA which I would think would be less commonly supported? I suppose most cpe would not support the vlan tagging, actually, most people wouldn't support IPV6 so I guess the question is, what is the way forward and the timeframes for this?
The v6 trial is still going - we are just waiting on some enhancements to some internal systems to be able to offer it as standard. The v6 will work either over EUBA (0/100 pppoa or 0/110 vlan 10 pppoe) and over BUBA (0/100 pppoa) as long as your router supports DHCPv6. Unfortunately I dont have any timelines for the full rollout - but we are 99% there :)
If you want v6 turned on on your connection - and your router will support it, feel free to send me a PM and i'll enable it for you.
Cool, it's quite satisfying seeing the 10/10 result for IPV6.
Will have to go back to IPV4 only for a few days as some new equipment I brought for this hasn't arrived yet so I can only connect using an old draytek modem that has low sync speeds with the latest cabinets. Thanks again for enabling IPV6 on my connection.
