I recently decided to join TCL on the $75 homeplan as my contract with orcon is expiring on 1st july.

While placing the TCL order, I clearly mentioned that my last day with Orcon is 1st July and I want TCL to transfer my line and broadbad on 2nd to ensure NO ETC from Orcon.

Now, just 2 days after placing the order, I get an email from TCL saying my BB is active!

Hola! Fantastic , isn't it? While people wait and complain that connection has not happened in time etc etc. TCL has jumped the gun for me! Early connection!

I have phoned them and they have assured they will 'manage' this situation to ensure Orcon dont do ETC etc.

But I still don't know what's going to actually happen! Anything further I should be doing?

Can TCL / Orcon co-operate and help to ensure a normal order is processed as per order not carelessly recked for no fault of a customer who told dates clearly upfront?

My suggestion would have been to plan this much more in advance to avoid any downtime.

Don't you have to give your old ISP 30 days notice of cancellation anyway, so you may get charged by both ISPs for July?

Yes u r right . I gave Orcon a notice couple of weeks ago and 1st July is the last day when that notice finishes that's why I told TCL to shift me from 2nd July.

Thanks GeekZone and Garry - TCL.

All issues have now been resolved apparently, first invoice from TCL and last Invoice from Orcon will confirm the same.
