Hey ppl,

Have a question in relation to the $75 special package thats running, we joined TCL on this 4 months ago, We have since seen TCL release the Naked Broadband+ plans. The 40GB plan is just not enough data, as we go through around 55Gb a month and hardly if ever use the phone.

We are looking at moving to the Naked Broadband+ 60GB plan but want to know if we change from the $75 deal to the new Naked Broadband plan, will we get hit with early disconnection or other fees?

We were thinking of ringing them but after the last time we tried to ring them, we have decided to do everything via the net through the TCL control panel instead.

Is anyone including TCL employees able to answer this question?

The Naked offer is only available where TelstraClear has unbundled, and can supply your house. There is an address checker on the web.

The standard terms are 12-month contract for the $75 plan.

Because what you would like to do can't be decided by a computer, you need to call them and ask a human to help

We are in an unbundled area already, hence using a TCL phone number 03949, plus the address checker already shows its available here.

Is that 12 month contract for the plan or the service?

Have a read... looks like it's for the service.

Looks like it is for new customers only, so would it still be available for you?

What is for new customers only?

Wife has decided to try ringing them again, so will see what happens there.

OK we got off the phone with TCL, the Contract for the $75 deal is against the plan not the service, therefore if we change plans, we will be hit with a $199 charge.

We did however find out that yes Naked BB+ is available at our address, as we are already on an Unbundled service.

Must also state massive improvement on Customer Service TCL, Phone was answered within 60 seconds!

A very good source at TCL told me that the 12 month $199 termination penalty does not apply if ones changes to a different service from ADSL  e.g. Cable or VDSL, what was important is that one still had an Internet broadband service from TCL

The example I have was that if I changed address inside 12 months and find that I have a choice of cable, adsl or vdsl one wouldn't be forced to continue adsl
