I have been told that I can, but the vodafone call staff have told me that it will only work at lower speeds, not the full 3g.

Any one with any experience?

If the jasjam is 3G it will support up to 384k DL and 128 UL not the 3G broadband "HSDPA"

You should get handset info from the device maker as in this case IMATE

UPDATE

The device does support HSDPA so when in 3G Broadband coverage you should get DL speeds UP to 1.8 mbps and UL max 384

It has on the specs from imate that the handset supports HSDPA

Thats a bit rough

You can't expect customer service to know all the specs to every single handset made!

The only reason I know is cause its on the imate website and I bet its covered in your handbook for the phone

I spent 20 minutes on the phone with them and got passed through 3 different people. I wasn't in the best mood by the time I finished :( They keep trying to sell me a vodem instead.

0800 921021 is for only supported products

Vodafone Mobile Connect, Vodem, Vodafone mail, Blackberry

As advised if people need specs on devices this comes from the makers website

HSDPA is the Vodafone Broadband network (2100mhz)

The linking of PC and phone is not supported by the service provider!

Vodafone have some info on there wireless portal site but the software you use to link them is written by imate

Dial up number for data is *99# no user name or PW

If you get through the IT channels you can save big bucks! I got mine from a local computer supplier, although limited quantity and maybe some deposit and preorder and a week or two of wait, you can save up to $500.

Up to you, but for my JasJam, it is worth 2 weeks wait.
