Would it not make sense for TC to offer PPV services on Freeview boxes as well as the Sky. As far as I can see it's the same kit, and would surely be a good revenue stream. Is it all contracted to sky?

Well they'd need to hold the rights for something worth paying for, and provide the backend infrastructure to stream that content out.... Much like CASPA on TIVO for instance.

I think Backend wise they are okay as I'm on the cable network so the infrastructure is already there for their sky customers. Just seems counter intuitive to no offer a service which would get additional revenue out of their customers :) Suspect it is all locked up by the 'evil empire' :)

But then again, whoever said media rights were even intuitive.

Just the term 'PPV on Freeview' is confusing, and for some no doubt mildly offensive. IF TC were to do this I think there would be a backlash from everyone (like me) who doesn't understand the paradigm.....
To be fair it's got to be free.
