Hi All,

I've just received a SPA112 and have had it provisioned with VFX. I was hoping to use the 2nd line as well for free calls between my mobile and the 2nd line however the provisioning has changed the username and password of the device. Is the setup of the device meant to prevent all access to the device (by not having the username / password to log on)? I was hoping that only the line 1 details would be locked leaving line 2 open for use, in a similar manor as previous devices did.

Spa112 should still be accessible using the cisco/cisco login which should also give you access to the line 2 settings which are unlocked by default for a single line device.

Thanks for that logon. When i log on using that logon I can see *some* of the options for line 2, but, not the ones needed (ie, userid, passwd, proxy etc).

Here's a screenshot of what I can see. Not sure if I'm just being blind, but, does this look like what I am meant to see? The bit if you scroll down is just a few more ring settings.

You are logged in as a user and not admin?

That's using the cisco/cisco credentials that Griven supplied. As stated, when the provisioning link was entered and the device downloaded new firmware & the setup, the admin password no longer worked - I admit, it was still admin/admin as I hadn't changed it yet, but, that no longer works.

This is from my test SPA with a single line. Your capture doesn't show the "line2" option which leads me to believe it still thinks its provisioned as a 2 line device.

I just did a full reset of the device (**** then 73738# and press 1 to confirm) and entered the provisioning link again. The ata downloaded the setup again, however, I still don't have access to the line 2 menu so it looks like the provisioning file is setup for 2 lines and not just the 1 I have.

The only special thing about the setup is that I asked for G711a to be the default codec instead of the compressed one. Perhaps this is the reason the the file does not leave line 2 open?

Is it possible for my provisioning file to be regenerated (with G711a as default codec) so that I have access to the line 2 settings as shown on the above screenshot?

I have regenerated your config and checked over it, it's definitely only a single line config. If you want to enable remote access I can login and go over the config on the SPA.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Thanks, I've reloaded the config but still the same result. If you connect to my IP address on port 62321 you will get the logon page of the ata.

Cheers,
Daniel

Looks like there has been a change with newer model 112's and their line naming. Have modified your config and defaulted your 112. Line 2 now shows and should allow configuration.

Thanks for that. I can now see the line 2 page as expected.
