Hi there.

I really got no clue what APN I'm using and I can't work out the settings on my phone. Im connected with a PDA --> cellphone using infra-red and I just manually type ATD*99# and start up the PPP session.

I get an IP of 121.90.xxx.xxx. I'm on a prepaid phone. Any ideas? Is there any way to tell via my PDA? I mean I can browse about and got loads of IP utlities etc but I dont know what to look for.

I can use irda to connect my Win XP machine up via the same method. No APN specified on the desktop PC either. Just dials up.

You will have to look for the connection settings on your mobile phone, because *99# means it is using the default connection. As for using data on a prepaid, this is quite expensive (when you have credit).
