I've been with Telstra for years now never had any issues until recently. About 3 months ago signed up to 150gb warp speed and tbox and for the last few months each month I've have been over charged and charged for things that I don't even have. I've had to call each month to sort it out.

And to top it all off as of late YouTube has just been terrible can't watch anything without leaving it to buffer for ages.

Anyone else having issues?

I'm seriously considering changing ISP and T.V providers considering the price I pay I'm pretty dissatisfied with Telstra clear.

@Keenbee. I don't know where you are but I've been with TelstraClear for years and I had my share of experience with billing issues (very rare) but it gets dealt to quick and corrected without reoccurance. As for the cable network, we recently upgraded to WarpSpeed 100 and has been great. We also have T-box since the very first day - first batch/weekend installation for 2 units since it was first officially announced.

I'm in Christchurch.

If the issue is troubling you that much, vote and walk with your wallet.

The first thing to do is ensure you have the correct DNS servers configured in your router. 203.97.87.43 and 203.97.87.44

I've been with Telstra since 2005 (Cable) and the recent youtube issues (again) are starting to really annoy me. I have a second ADSL connection also and youtube performance is better, which is just sad because its a crappy unlimited plan with worldnet which is shaped heavily.

If it weren't for the fact my current living situation only allows for a cable connection, I'd be seriously considering shifting to ADSL for my primary connection.

Are those any better to use than the old paradise ones I have in my mental cache from when Dad got Paradise cable in 1999? (203.96.152,4, 203.96.152.12)

Which still surprises me - why haven't TCL moved the old IP addresses to the new ones.

Yeah I am attempting to watch some youtube videos atm. It's just ridiculous. I will give them until the end of the next billing month. If they bugger up the bill and youtube doesn't improve I will be leaving.

Yes, like others I've noticed the YouTube thing as well.

But seriously, the only real way you're going to cause VF to make quick moves in this space is if customers start departing in big numbers, which just isn't going to happen.

So your only real choice is just to move on.

This is why UFB is going to be so wonderful, because you will be able to move providers and still have the same great 100/50 service.

Somehow I don't think Vodafone will have an impact in the network side of the business any time soon.

But with any luck Vodafone will be able to teach them a thing or two about customer service

A bit off topic, but how does cable internet compare with UFB fibre (in terms of speed)? I know that cable is only available in the three big cities.
