Thanks Xnet for the years of great service and support, unfortunately I have changed ISPs for better data.

I'll jump on that band wagon... thanks XNet I have moved on as well.  It was a good (not necessarily great) 8 years or so, but it was time for a change. I've now got fibre to the house.

I have signed to move away, the transfer has not happened yet, but will any day.
I am going to save about $30 per month hopefully.

My bill use to be in the 100-130 range, now $90 with more data.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

You connection is just too slow to keep up! Wink

I have another two households about to do the same.  Xnet was good in it's day but we're moving to one of the newer and cheaper plans elsewhere.

But seriously...

I've jumped ship recently too.

Can't fault the customer service or the magnificent support here on Geekzone from maverick and Cameronn. I was with Xnet for almost 5 years and always found the service reliable, but my bills have gone down from ~100/month to $65/month and I get a truckload more data!

However, I like the 5GB plan they're about to put out - superb plan for people like my parents who are currently on dial up and don't need much data but don't really want to pay more to get broadband.

I wondered if people posting after the 26th November read the other thread about new prices...

I am aware of the new pricing from 1 Dec but compass have newer equipment and are running Annex M, Xnet are still just reselling telecom.
I am keeping my VFX however.

You mean reselling Chorus... Telecom is not a wholesaler for ages.

To be equitable I should say that now Xnet competes very well for low usage users, but still behind others providers in high usage range. Try to watch online movies or TV programs with good quality and then check your bill...
