Hi needing help to setup VoIP service, Xnet is saying since its open VFX they wont help with setup since the Gigaset phone is not one of their models. I've hooked it all up, it gives me a IP but wont register, the provider doesnt show up in the phone settings. If i login to the phone 192.168.1.117, it requires me to enter the settings such as authentication name, password, username and whole lot of technical stuff i dont know such as domain name, server address etc. This is what WxC sent through as far as logon information, but nothing else.

Account Number: 12158597
Username: roboforex
Password: as requested

If someone can help with what settings i need to put in, would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

There are probably at least half a dozen threads on here detailing how to configure Gigaset IP phones with VFX. I don't have time to find these right now but the search box at the top will help you.

Hi vrcollin, the username you posted is for the website not for your openvfx box.
You should have in your email something like :

UserID: xxxxxx
AuthUser: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
AuthPassword: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

if the menu on your gigaset looks anything like the video dimsim posted, then once you get to the telephony page make sure that you have

Auth name (gigaset) = AuthUser (WxC email)
Auth pass (gigaset) = AuthPassword (WxC email)
Username (gigaset) = UserID(WxC email)

The section of the email you posted looks like the RFS email for broadband, you should have a separate email with your vfx settings. :)
