Did anyone else faced same problem on friday, vodafone landline went down and their call centre lines were not working too, looks like they switch off their call centre deliberately so they dont have to answer calls.
Very bad service from vodafone.

As if we would just decide to turn off the incoming calls to the fixed line call centre on a Friday afternoon for the fun of it so staff can sit around and update FaceBook and check out Trademe

Come on clearly there was a outage on the IVR, Approx 35 - 40 minutes to the call centre service was restored ASAP,

There was another outage in the Ellerslie / Penrose I think which was not related and outside of the Vodafone network

John

Take your tinfoil hat off please. No one is disconnecting their lines to avoid work or to make you unhappy.

The Vodafone status page at 4:34pm had this notice:

Some customers may be unable to call through to our Vodafone Customer Services Lines, we are aware of this issue and are working on resolving this as soon as possible.

This came back a little later.

We even posted the outage on the Vodafone NZ forum

" Posted Yesterday, 04:34 PM

Thanks,
Service Operations "

"Don't know maybe you are right"

Do you really think a company would just disconnect their phone lines to avoid answering customers' calls?

Wow...

I am locking this discussion because it's obvious it's going nowhere from here.

There was a fault, Vodafone put a notice, it was fixed. That is it.

No conspiracies needed. Anything else is waste of time.
