At first I thought the motorola razzr I had was having issues but as soon as I tried a nokia 6234 I had the same problem.
Occasionally when trying to send a text in 3g mode I'll get the error unable to send text and if I try maybe 2-3 times I'll get it sent, tho if I switch the phone to GSM mode it has no problems. I'm in the centre of Hamilton when I notice this the most so I'm not sure if its limited to the central UMTS site.
Anyone else had a similar problem or just bad luck?

The issues with TXT at Christmas was not 3G network related (yes they failed sending while attached to the UMTS network)

All TXT issues are resolved while attached to the UMTS network

(Moderator edit (BG) - expletive removed from quote Foot in mouth )

If there are people having issues then they are not solved. C'mon, johnr, stop drinking the kool aid for a while...

I am not drinking no kool aid thanks the issue must be area related noting to do with christmas or new years. It should be logged with vodafone customer service with time and date examples this will make it easier to pin point the fault.

Have to agree with johnr here that it should be reported to Vodafone customer service... there's not heaps Geekzoners can do to sort it out.

The customer support person will most likely tell you to change your phone to GSM only.
