Is it just me or are both .43 & .44 DNS servers down? Luckily I'm remoted into my work network so I can actually still do things! (Although it does mean I can't reset my modem to see if that will fix the DNS server issue...)

I can't even post my default gateway on Telstraclear Cable! (Oh how I wish it was only DNS servers down.) First time for a very long time that I've noticed an outage.
Gotta go - raking up too much mobile data!

:-)

Going again now!
If that was the worst fault in quite a while, I'm so pleased I'm not with Telecom and Less-tra!

Its most definitely down, something is going on. I'm currently posting from my phone. House of computer techs here, definately nothing our end.

Lost all DNS requests about 30 minutes ago, although there's one person in the house who is somehow on skype.. No one else can do anything or get any connectivity even on another DNS server.

Can't ring the telstra hotline as I get an engaged signal.

St Albans christchurch here and on the cable network

Yup Facebook has lit up with comments as well now so pretty much guessing every TelstraClear customer using the "right" DNS servers is now without a working setup...

Down here in Shirley, CHCH

I've added Google's Public DNS 8.8.8.8 to my router and am able to surf now.

Yep, my day has really gone from terrible to f******** awful.  I have had about as much of server failures as I can take at this point.

203.97.78.44 isnt working from here - using 8.8.8.8 as a backup for now.

PS: So much for redundancy. Isn't that the point of having TWO dns servers (43/44).

Update for us at least, we seem to be able to use other DNS settings now.

Seems the Network status page cannot handle the load of all the TelstraClear customers wondering whats going on....
