Has anyone manged to run this feature sucessfully?
On TelstraClear/Vodafone's web site there is a link to managing various bits of ones account and ClearNet email ... one of those being something called Remote Email Access.
According to the verbiage a customer can log-in to ClearNet and thereafter be able to use any other internet access network for email provided you use RPA ... in other words, when travelling away from home/work we should be able to send emails through Clear's SMTP server regardless of which internet access we happen to be on at the time, e.g. McDonalds, cyber cafe, CBD Free, etc etc.
However, no matter what settings I make in my email client (Outlook 2007), I cannot get the thing to work ... keep getting the "SMTP server unaccessable" message.
ClearNet say only that RPA need be invoked, nothing about TSL/SSL or port numbers.
