As noted in the previous relevant forum some users found that their Facebook webpage loading speeds varied, with no correlation to a ADSL or Cable connection, and location.

Has anyone over the past few days notice the issue noted in the thread http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=44&topicid=113388? I ask before I provide further details pertinent to my setup.

Hmm... curious. I've had another incident reported via Twitter of a similar situation, so there may be something worth looking at. Not sure if the issue is on our end or Facebook's, so we'll have to investigate. Can you please PM me your customer details and email address, and I'll send you a list of tests we need to do so I can have a fault lodged for you.

Cheers,
Lon

I've noticed a few issues as well, mainly around clicking on notifications and finding they're not loading at times.

Yes, that is specific to me also. (noticeably Judith Collin's Facebook page). Others load alright (but I can't be sure if they load alright first time, but going back to notifications and clicking on one I've seen, seeing it again loads fine)

Are you using https or http? I've switched to https a while ago to get around the TCL transparent proxy randomly appearing to break Facebook and I don't recall having any issues recently.

When I type www.facebook.com I automatically go to https://www.facebook.com. It seems the https stays when I jump from page to page within Facebook.

Sounds to me like its more likely to be a Facebook issue rather than a Vodafone one - I know I have had problems in the past with bad Facebook javascript...

Hi folks,

I spend the majority of my day on Facebook (it's my job, before you ask) and can vouch for Facebook having some weird quirks lately. However, I'm not keen on excluding our network from the equation completely yet. If you are noticing this more regularly, I'd say your best bet would be to report a fault to our contact centre. The more examples we have for our faulting team to work with, the more easily quantifiable the fault becomes.

Thanks for the input thus far!
Lon
