Bought a parallel imported Samsung Galaxy S4 last week, had issues with connecting with 4G - johnr went well over and above his call of duty to help me deal with the retailer to get it all fixed up.  I'm not going to outline it here as I don't want people to expect it as the norm.

Credit where credit is due, many thanks John.

Good to hear. It is partly probably because it is still a new technology, so their are still some things to iron out?

Thanks Nate

Lets just say Nate did not get what he paid for and when 4G was not working he wanted things confirmed issue was not on the Vodafone NZ side, The retailer could of really mucked him around

Why not just flash the Vodafone NZ ROM onto it?

Assume it's a GT-I9505?

And if that fails the store can tell you to go away best left to the retailer to sort the issue out

Considering it was only a few days old, and the description sold it as a Vodafone 4G handset, I'd prefer they wasted time on it not me.

All said and done, it's sorted now, and I'm happy as.

Is it running VFNZ firmware now?

Flashing firmware with Odin doesn't erase your data. It's just like doing a software upgrade.

.. ohh .. k,

I thought there was a issue with retailer, as you mentioned ... "Lets just say Nate did not get what he paid for and when" ...

and hence that conclusion..

Good to know all is well with parallel imported goods!
