Just found out today when I caught the tail end of someone calling me on speaker phone that my greeting had revered from the temporary one to my really old one that actually asked people to leave a message rather then the one I had recorded telling them that I would not return any calls if messages were left and an alternate number.

Anyway, Since vodafone only keep prepay messages for a short time I have no idea who all the calls I rejected actually were, but the really troubling thing is that the message changed back. Is there an unpublished time limit for the temporary greetings to be active on the vodafone voice mail system? 777 didn't answer when I called them today so I thought I would ask here when I got home.

It shouldn't revert back I don't believe. The temporary greeting should stay in place until you call 707 to remove it.

I haven't changed my greeting in years, and one day I decided to "browse" the options on VFNZ VM service and found out the greetings were all reverted to standard, because of a VM upgrade sometime ago. Perhaps you are in the same situation?

Did you do that via the Voda web site Mauricio, or by calling from your phone?

I had a look around the "My Account" section of the web site and can't see any way to do what you described.

If your account has been affected, there's a good chance that mine has also as I haven't changed my greeting in years either.

Vodafone did seem to have a temporary outage on voicemail this morning, so don't know whether that had affected it, or how big or small this outage was.
Seems fine now anyways

Sorry for the ambiguity. When I wrote "browse" I meant going through the VM menus in the voicemail service itself, over the phone. I haven't changed my greeting for years (I have an eight or nine years old account) and I tried this a month or so ago.

Ah well, I called up and got a new pin on the voicemail because I had long forgotten it, I will check the messages when I get a chance and re-record the normal greeting rather then relying on the tempory one.

How about someone add to the ask Russel thing that they add an option to make the vodafone voicemails announce only :)

I wont be buying another sim card to use the number in question, just hanging it out till number portability. Sick of the scam of vodafones of not letting me re-use expired prepay sims and forcing me to buy new ones to replace lost sim cards.
