surfisup1000: Phone them.

Why phone their infamous customer service center when they don't even have UFB products and prices on their web sites ?

I want to hear if anyone in the know has more info.

VF is still trialing residential UFB which is why there are no products for sale. It is probably safe to say that anybody with knowledge around timing and product details will not be allowed to release this information until it is officially announced. I would say it is a safe bet that a thread will spring up on the geekzone forums once the information is available.

Please note: I have a professional bias towards Vodafone.

I hope the trial doesn't last as long as the VDSL trial. That trial has been going since 2008 Cry

Why wait?

If UFB is already in your area then sign up with one of the existing providers.

Well according to their CEO in late March Vodafone UFB won't be on the market until later in the year

Goodness know why they are so far behind everyone else. The best incentive they have made me is to stay and not change to UFB is to roll over the $75 ADSL/landline deal Embarassed

I imagine there's a bit of internal work to do regarding infrastructure especially after the TCL takeover. Then you have to design the product offering, marketing, staff training, consumer hardware.
Not surprised they aren't rushing it like Telecom did considering so few people can get it, and those who can don't seem to be signing up at the moment (if you look at the ratio of houses passed with fibre to users on the network).

I am hanging out for TCL UFB.
We are right next to the street with fibre laid and have had offeres from other companies. But we don't want to lose our package Sky/Internet/Cell phones.

Unless VF sort it out with UFB soon, I will be jumping ship.

I heard they pulled the plug on VDSL in favour of UFB.

That is the problem for me. I am close to a cabinet, am willing to pay for vdsl and am not scheduled for UFB until 2016. I would like to keep all my services with vodafone as I like the bundling but snap is getting much closer to being an option.

I was in exactly the same boat; I don't regret my decision at all to change so I could get VDSL :)

A lot of us will be using the opportunity of UFB to jump ship after whats been a topsy turvey few years with TCL.
