I'm not sure whether this has to do with my cable connection or with the Motorola SB4100 modem but today I got home from work and there was no connection, so I had a look at the modem and all the lights were on except the activity orange light. I checked the cables going to my Wireless router but nothing seemed wrong there. Then I tried to turn it off but it wouldn't responde so I had to unplug it from the wall outlet to reboot it and it worked however this has occured 3 times since then. I called Telstra and I asked if there were any problems known in the Chch and they said no. Could it be the modem turning sour?

Sounds like the same problem as up in Welly. Am getting a techie out tomorrow. Grrrrr. Crapped out last night about 9pm and not back till 1.00pm ish today but intermittent. Apparently modem had time-outed 114 times in that period?? Sorry no expert.
