I am currently recording the TV1 Wimbledon tennis which plays from 2300 to 0600 every day, and then switches to channel 16 from 0600 until live coverage is over (usually between 1 to 4 hours).
I have set up a serial link recording for the TV1 wimbledon broadcast, but unfortunately, the TBOX program guide for the channel 16 Wimbledon's overflow broadcast is not helpful.
Channel 16 on the TBOX program guide has currently an event labelled "Wimbledon/Informercial" running from 0000 to 0620, and another labelled "Informercial" running from 0620 to 1200.

I think the channel 16 "wimbledon/informercial" event would be more useful if it started at 0600 and finished 1200.
Also, it would help if the serial link key for this event was different from the regular "informercial" events key, so that TBOX serial links set up for the "wimbledon" events don't automatically start recording "informercial" events!
Vodafone, can you have a word with the program guide service provider for me and see about getting these amendments actioned ?
thanks.

Happy chappy this morning, channel 16 recording of the Wimbledon tennis overflow from TV1 started at 0600 as intended. Maybe yesterday's problem was just a glitch by the program guide data entry staff.

Dont know much about TBOX, but does it offer the same 'manual record' functionality as the MYSKY boxes do?
i.e. you can tell it to record any channel at anytimes you choose.

No, the TBOX is totally reliant on the program guide as there is no manual recording option.

Currently the TBOX program guide is showing Tuesday mornings Wimbledon coverage starting at 0000 to 1200, that's 720 minutes! ridiculous, since the overflow from TV1 does not start until 0600. Bah!

Ok.  Maybey if this continues to be a bugbear, you could always go lotek and plug in a VCR to time record that channel you have left the TBOX on !

Vodafone does not have any control over the program guide or series link info.  They get this from sky.

A manual recording option has been a requested feature many times but I wouldn't hold my breath for this either.  There hasn't been a true software update for an age and certainly never any major new features I can remember since the box was released to market.
