Recently my TBOX is displaying with increasing frequency the "Service Unavailable" open padlock & exclamation icon, which is shown for about 2 to 5 seconds before playback of a recording commences.
I am guessing that the TBOX is checking with home-base about something and there is a delay receiving the response.
Should I be concerned about these events ?
I hope its not a sign of some upcoming permanent failure.

No need to be concerned. It's just a delay has been reached getting server auth to view the recording.

OK, thanks for the reassurance.

However, a moment ago, as I selected a recording of BBC Click to view, I got the following popup:

"The requested service/content is unavailable. Please check your network cable is plugged in and your home has Internet access.
If the problem still exists contact customer service on 0508 888 800 to resolve the issue.
OK to exit."

The BBC Click program continued to play in the background so I just pressed OK to clear the popup and carried on viewing the program as normal.

If this popup starts showing up more regularly, is it worth my time to raise a fault with the help-desk?

No, it's just a timing issue which we're aware of. It's taken a while to get logs of it occurring but is a logged issue with the developer. It's not a hardware or network/signal issue.
