I was reading about Telstra in Australia threatening to sue if the G9 group of providers go ahead with their A$3.6 billion network build, and apart from the anti-investment and anti-competition gist of the article, I was struck by this quote from Phil Burgess who is Canadian I believe:

Speaking at the Australia Unlimited forum, Mr Burgess rounded on Mr Kirk, a former captain of the New Zealand All Blacks.

"If David Kirk thinks we have a broadband drought because there is too little competition, he has played too much football without a helmet," he said.

That quote says it all... Burgess obviously thinks the All Blacks play American Football wearing helmets instead of rugby.
