Any word on when a stable version of Vodafone Mobile Connect (VMC) for Vista will be available? We spoke to Vodafone NZ a couple of weeks ago and they said they'd been sent VMC 9.1 to test but that it was still quite buggy so they'd sent it back to get fixed up.

Here is a link to the latest 9.1 release from vodafone's website.

I have been using this with Vista and had no dramas so far, it is 32-bit version only.

Thanks. That looks much newer than what's on the Vodafone corporate website.

How did you find that link? I don't see it referenced elsewhere on Vodafone's site.

Has anyone heard about availablility of the 64-bit version? I'm running Vista 64-bit at home, and would ultimately like to do the same on my ThinkPad. Everything else I need to run works fine in a 64-bit environment.

It is on the Vista support page, which I found by searching 'Vista' on the Vodafone NZ website.. I don't think it is linked anywhere as the 9.1 version only works for Vista, and is not 100% supported at this stage (Not to sure on this.. but have heard it wont be support til end of March, possibly because it doesn't support all the VMC cards yet)

At this stage haven't heard anything about 64-bit version as the vendors are still working on it.

Edit: Here is the link: Vodafone New Zealand: Vista Support

Thanks for the link.

It looks like that page was put together in a bit of a hurry. I found this text which I presume was meant as instructions for whoever was designing the web page rather than to go as actual text on the page:
"Need to also update quick start guide, and any other information - might pay to just have a vista software section and keep the old software up"

I noticed that also, this is probably why it isn't linked to from any other pages.
Jumped the gun a little bit?

All we have heard is 2007. Knowing Vodafone that probably means 2008 (I'm going by their promise to release best mate for on account in early 2007)
