Hey guys...

I've been trying to hook my parents house up to one of TC's cable plans. For the last 2 weeks or so we have been though an ongoing discussion with TC... well almost. We have had a few queries we need to sort out and whenever we actually get through the person is unable to help. We get told they will ring back but they never do...

Our install (we actually need the cable laid and all) was supposed to go ahead last sat but apparently since we hadn't signed consent forms we couldn't have it done... this had never even been mentioned before.

Basically the problem is my parents have a new paved driveway they don't want taken up so we need to know where the cable connection is taken from.

As an aside has anyone else had problems like this with TC?

Cheers

We are in the slow process of TC connecting. So far we have broadband in place. The long asphalt drive had rectangles cut in it every 10 metres or so. 5 holes in all, about 1 m by 0.5 m. That was 3 or so weeks ago. They have yet to fix the drive up, but have promised to come quite a number of times. Once they did come, but those guys did concrete, and left. But they took the old asphalt with them, so that was some help. Today was yet another day they were definitely going to come. They haven't.

You mainly will have to decide if you can put up with repaired rectangles in your drive. Other than that, it will be fine. It may take some time.

Well this is just following up on what I posted earlier.

A contractor from Astute came over on friday to check out the site, dropped off some consent forms which we mailed on monday. By today (wednesday) they had already completed the underground work and done a perfectly tidy job of it too. So far, they have been great to deal with.

If only TC was this easy...

Cheers
