Hi All,

Yesterday I had installed Compass Wireless which is marketed by Nettel and used to be wired country. All was well last night on the new wireless but today I am unable to open the xnet / worldxchange websites and my vfx phone line has completely gone down. All other web sites are OK. Nettel haven't been much help.

Is anyone else having the same problem?

Cheers,

Matt.

Hi Matt,

It sounds like an issue with your Wireless Broadband connection, rather than Xnet or VFX.

We have 2 sites using Xnet as their ISP and both are up and running.  One of these sites uses VFX for incoming voice lines and they are both working OK.

At a 3rd site we use ICONZ with a VFX phone connection and that is also working OK.

I might also add that we have been running on generator power for almost 3 hours now and have had 280mm Surprised  of rain since 10pm Tuesday Night (and still counting).  There are many slips on the roads in the Far North so travel could be an issue for a few days, but at least our Wireless Internet is rock solid Cool

Cheers,
Grant.

Yes. I have resigned myself to the fact that it is a Nettel / Compass issue. It is strange though that the only thing affected seems to be the Xnet domain (I can't access the VFX portal or even www.xnet.co.nz). All other internet / email is fine... I was really looking forward to chopping off the landline next week but if this keeps up the wife will not allow it!

Cheers...

I can confirm there is an issue (my wired country connection has the same issue) I have spoken to their Ops manager and he is chasing it up (I can also confirm that this is the first time this has happened)

UPDATE: 16:53
Have had a reply  , the issue is a Compass problem with their routing tables(Basically they are not going by the correct route to WorldxChange network), they are now working on it.

Thanks Phil. Hopefully you have a bit more clout than I do! Quite ironic that it happened the day after install. Perhaps I am jinxed!

Cheers,

Matt.

There are still some routing issues with Compass that could be effecting VFX services, we will be working with Compass to fully resolve this tomorrow.
