Hi

This has bugged me for a long time - maybe there's a way around it that I haven't thought of.

Sometimes I have to top up my prepay account via the Vodafone website.    I would like a proper GST receipt to acknowledge the transaction, but all I get is a confirmation screen with a transaction ID and the amount topped up.   There's no date anywhere on the screen, let alone any sort of information that makes it useful as a proper receipt.   Is there somewhere I can go to request that such transactions do end with a proper receipt?

Thanks!

Thanks John.   Seems it would be easier just to print a date and a GST number on the confirmation page... but never mind!

Have the same question and I am not finding the sticky thread on the Vodafone forum, neither am I finding anything when searching the forum. Nor am I any wiser from the answers here.

Could anyone from Vodafone let me know how to get receipts for prepayments?

Need receipt for previous top-ups and for future top-ups. Would have been brilliant to get them to my email address.

We've reorganised the Community since August. :)

Here's the info you're after:

If you need a GST invoice you need to ask for one - we're legally obligated to provide a GST invoice within 28 days of a request. As you know you don't need a tax invoice for anything under $50 so we don't do those.

Generally, Prepay customers aren't businesses so we don't issue them for top-ups automatically.

The easiest thing to do, however, is probably buy them from a store and get a tax invoice at the time of purchase.

If you flick an email through to onlinecare@vodafone.co.nz, the team will be happy to help.

Cheers,

 - Nik

From what I remember, the sticky thread didn't give much joy.   I think there was some suggestion of calling to get a receipt of some sort but nothing very practical.

What really frustrates me is that even the date is not printed online once the topup has been made.  It seems like this should be a very simple thing to do!

So from what I understand (correct me if I am wrong): I have been topping up $20 - so there will be no way to get receipts for those topups?

My situation is that I am unable to get an on account subscription at the moment, and I need the receipts for an outside of NZ business.

My only solution is to top up at the store to get receipts?

Have you looked into open term plans??

$29 /mth
150 mins
500 Mb
unlimited txt

And you can get a full tax receipt no questions asked

Prepay Smart plan:

$19/month
100 mins
500MB
Unlimited text

So that's $10 less than the plan you mention (I don't really need the voice minutes) and all I'm asking for is a date printed on the acknowledgement page on the website when I top up.  A GST number would be a bonus.  But I don't think it is really worth paying $10 extra for a date stamp.   I don't think we are really asking for the world here - just a proper dated record of a topup!

Doesn't need to be anything fancier than a way to create a webpage receipt with a print option. Seems really strange that its not been done.
