I'm an IT Manager.

My current landline, mobile and data contract is expiring soon. I have spoken to other telcos. I'm not with Vodafone but would like them to be in the mix. I've tried their website and can not find an obvious link to corporate sales.

I've rung the business number, they asked how many connections I want... umm... no, how about come out and have a chat with me.

They said a corporate sale person would get back to me. It's been two days.

I'm not going to beg for business. Why the hurdles?

We have an annual spend of approximately $150k for mobile, landline and data.

Anyone know how to get some response from Vodafone? What can I do better to get someone appropriate from Vodafone to listen to me?

Thanks

Auckland CBD.

Corporate/Government tab on website has no number to ring.

I'm ringing the business number with link
0800 888 305

Want to buy mobile products or services?

I'm on hold....... everyone is busy.

Not good.

Generally speaking, if you aren't getting good sales support from a company, why you would want to support them back? Or are you trying to get a range of quotes to play one against the other?

It's pretty simple, I'm coming off contract (master contract) and I'm looking at change. I need at least three proposals.

Vodafone is proving blardy difficult. I don't think I'll bother.

Don't be so hard on them. It's best-effort, after all. I have 0800 400 888 written here for some reason as a contact number, not sure if it's sales or support sorry.

Don't be hard on them!!

I'd ask them not to be hard on potential new customers.

I've never experienced such poor performance when looking for suppliers of any type in my life before!!

I literally can not find an avenue as a corporate IT Manager to contact them for new business.

How do I engage them? Seems their only set up for residential or small business.

Have you tried whatever contact details johnr messaged to you? Messaging the staff on here (who go above and beyond to help, imo, and do far more than the account managers etc seem to) is about the only way to get a good response in my experience.

John has offered a number for a Waikato business dev manager.

I'd like to talk to an Auckland sales rep.

I've decided not to bother with Vodafone. If it's going to be like this just to attempt to offer business to them then I'm not interested.

I was put on hold 2 days ago then told someone would ring, they never rang back. I was asked ridiculous questions today and put on hold for ages this is after being put on hold to initially to talk to anyone. Seems no one knew what to do. I hung up while waiting as I'm interested with them anymore.

Having been a Telecom/Gen-i customer this is exactly what I want to move away from.

Thanks all for you comments.

So you spend $150k a year but are not interested working through a couple of hurdles to find out what Vodafone can offer you? You obviously don't work for yourself.

Historically they have been confusing, but they are a lot better these days, and comparable to other ISps I have used. Nowhere near as bad as ACCs invoices, probably the most confusing invoices ever.
