I called the helpdesk, which is closed on the weekend. Great.

I called the old Telstra clear support number as it's already in my phone. It said welcome to Vodafone, sorry we're closed.

I'll try to find another number.

They're sending a technician... on Thursday.

Was it actually down or are you just facing the same browsing issue that every HFC customer is dealing with at present which is already discussed in a few threads on here?

I see no other threads complaining that the modem can't connect, which the Vodafone tech support person took me through, and she didn't say there were any known problems at the moment. I only see complaints about the proxy, which isn't the problem I had - I couldn't do anything, DNS lookups, pings, etc.

I rang Vodafone again today to cancel the technical support callout. Turns out there's a special number for ex Telstra Clear customers to call. It'd be nice to have had that on the website rather than having to wait on hold twice.
