Can I use the time schedules to manage what happens to calls at different times of the day? I can set up the schedules but I cant seem to do anything with them.

I hear you, thats what the advanced features that will become available will handle, I don't want to to eloborate too much at this stage....you don't know who is watching sorry not to much help but need to keep somethings undere wraps for now.
