Is Downstream Signal To Noise Ratio 36.4 dB Something to worry about? He said the minimum it should be is 35 and this is only 1.4dB above that. We've been having lots of problems lately with both the T-Box and the Internet modem at different times Although I think it may be better today, Done all the phone diagnostics etc, The next step was for a tech to come out

This video is a generic Surfboard video. The SNR varies network-to-network and is heavily dependant on the modulation scheme. On the VF HFC network today, the cable modem downstream SNR should ideally be above 32dB. If you are have issues with your Internet and/or TV service, I recommend logging a fault with VF.

Another question: Is vodafone putting a speed cap on? According to specs the motorola surfboards can support up to 38mb/s on DOCSIS

Do they actually cap it?

Or is that just the limit of the lines etc

Your Broadband service is rate-limited to the broadband 'plan' (VF product) you are signed-up for.

VF Consumer Broadband on a Motorola Surfboard CM is usually 15Mbps downstream and 2Mbps upstream.
