There have been reports in our local press about a new Vodafone RBI site in Kumeu North, but I can't find any specifics on the location.

I'm hoping that this expansion might finally mean I have some alternative reception at home. The current Kumeu Transmitters are just too far away to be really usable (ie under 1 bar reception).

The most recent activity I can find in the SMART database is co-location on the KUMEU TOWNSHIP site along side telecom and 2degrees.

Can anyone on Vodafone comment on exacat location an potential range.

Cheers. About 5.5 Km but the elevation could work for us.

Well it looks likes Vodafone are loading up plenty of new license requests based on using Vodafone as the Licensee under
- http://www.rsm.govt.nz/smart-web/smart/page/-smart/domain/licence/SelectLicencePage.wdk?fromHome=Yes

I can't seem to see any additional allocations around the Kumeu area.

Has anyone got a good way to turn the map locations from the Smart database into a location under Google Maps or similar?

With mobile competition increasing at the moment it would be great to have some descent options.

Anyone picked up on an update or an RSM SMART allocation for the site yet?

I have had a look at my RBI update list and this site is no longer listed. So not good news. Doesn't necessarily mean it won't happen, but most likely if it does still happen, it is someway off yet :(
