It's almost the middle of night this is generally when planned work happens, A notice is up on the Vodafone NZ site about the planned work tonight and how a outage will happen

There is no mention of the planned maintenance when trying to access the top-up page. Neither did I see any notice of it on the front page of vodafone.co.nz.

Hey Jarle,

 Sorry for the inconvenience with this one - Certainly not intended to discourage you from topping up.  The maintenance ran from midnight to 3am (These things are usually, naturally, planned for the periods people are less likely to be using them - Night owl myself!), so just a case of unfortunate timing. Should all be up & running now.

If you ever have issues like this in the future, there's a few places we regularly post up planned work & outages:

 - The Vodafone Network Status page

 - The exTelstraClear Network Status page

 - The Network Status page on Vodafone Community

 - Current cell site upgrades on the Vodafone mobile site
