Hi all,

Having VDSL installed through Vodafone in a couple of days time.I was sent the router today and it is an hg556a. I was reading in one of the forums that some people were given the hg659. Was I sent the wrong modem?

I was under the impression its the hg659 thats needed. They may have sent the old modem in error. Have you called them? I know the newer one works on adsl aswell but you do need the hg659.

I was also sent the HG556A for one of the VDSL installs which is wrong. Ring them and ask them to send the HG659

DOH! no VDSL support on the HG556a

There have been people getting a HG556a modems with VDSL but no it doesnt work with VDSL. You need the HG659.
