I'm asking in the forum instead of direct to WxC, as it may be of interest to others, and is not urgent.

Every now and again we have to update all our accounts which are paid by credit card (which is almost all of them).  For some reason only Sky and WxC require a form to be posted to them (according to their web site, which may be outdated?), everyone else is happy to accept customers to change it themselves on-line.  AFAIK it is (or maybe used to be) actually required to get a signature on paper, but just wondering if WxC wants to comment/confirm or maybe consider changing?

Even if you can phone in with the details, I'd much rather prefer to just log into my account and change it myself.  Much easier than getting people to decipher my strong Afrikaans accent ;-).  I'd even fax it, not that I own one.

(Also note that when printing the authority form at 1:1 the blocks are far too small for writing numbers in.)

Just getting this followed up via the Billing department,  just a quick response to let you know we're looking at it.

I did send in the form, and impressed that I got a phone call to confirm the details were updated. Would still prefer on-line so I know it is done immediately, but so nice to have a local person call me up and say it is done. Can't imagine Sky doing the same, but we'll see.

I have asked before on here but couldn't do it online.  I have moved 5 times in 4 years (due to work) so it would be something that makes life easier +1 to adding it.

It's good to keep the same number though ;)

Unfortunately we can't change this process at the moment.

Reason being ; Completing an online application form or sending in a scanned copy of the credit card form are not regarded as acceptable proof by the credit card companies/banks in case of any customer dispute.

This may change at a later date depending on requirements of proof from the credit card companies/banks.

Thanks for the feedback, was what I suspected. I guess most companies take the risk as they allow you to update it via your account login, or perhaps it is covered in the user agreements. Anyway, took only 2 days to get confirmations from WxC where as it took over a week for Sky (not surprised).
