Howdy - I have recently left Vodafone and am now left with the Vodafone Station, a Huawei HG553 I believe. How can I use this as a modem...is it as simple as just plugging it in or do I need to reset / reconfigure.

Thanks!

I would assume your new provider will need to provide their PPP details. Plug those in and hope it works. If not you cant alter the settings on the station only the HG556a under advanced/advanced..
If you got that station 1 year ago pretty quick to leave.

Thanks TimA.

Yeah - I left before the year was up...I left the country. It was a great deal otherwise.

We use zero-touch provisioning on those modems, so perhaps just PM us your account details so we can have the modem's serial number removed from your account. Might cause problems if the person you're selling it ends up on the Vodafone network so best to have the serial scrapped.
