Trying to port a prepay from telecom spark to VF.

Order went thru at 953am, ETA 12 noon. My telecom sim still working. I know everyone's busy and that there are 2 possibilities
- normal delay
- something is not right

Can't get in touch with the shop, 0800 number too busy.

Not the end of the world though :D

finally got thru to CSR ...

in progress since 12 noon ...

I'm hoping that means no problems?

I thought everyone knew not to make telecommunications changes Friday-through-Sunday.

Porting numbers, UFB installs, VDSL, Paying overdue accounts (B) etc.....

They've tried to port twice and have failed.

Now the vf porting team are asking another team to change something to retry.

I did not set which days to port by the way, Vodafone said I can port any day so I chose Sat am to give 48 hrs of Lee way. Looks like it won't be enough

Got a txt saying at 1730 (on a Sunday :O !) ... well let you know in due time ... I'm not getting overly excited for fear of disappointment but let's see ...

Once again thanks to John who really should be knighted along with the other blokes who go beyond the call of duty to fix customer issues

After 3 failed attempts at porting John did it in a few seconds.

Managed to create a voda account with this ported number but voda says my old email cannot be used linked another account. No dramas as long as it doesn't affect the function of the new number

Also a text came with activation saying 9 voice messages but when you go into voice mail there is none. Again no drama as long as doesn't affect the function of the account. Probably a side effect of all the failures lol
