Could someone please post their hardware setup if they have managed to bridge between a VDSL modem and a router?

I got the VDSL installed today, but it seems that the Huawei HG659 that Vodafone sells you is unable to do PPoE bridging (can someone confirm), and that others who have got a Vigor 130 (which I bought before I realised VFNZ was going to insist I used their kit) are also unable to get it to work in bridging mode.

What I would like is for the DHCP serving to be managed by my ASUS RT-AC66U - because the software is nice, and friendly.

What options are you using in the Draytek? There are literally only about 3 or 4 simple setting that are required, all of which are detailed on the Draytek website and in the box from memory.

I haven't tried it yet - it was literally installed this morning.

But in other posts on this site, there is more than person saying that they just can't get it to work with the Vigor130. I had it working with the V120 and ADSL no problem.

Curious to hear if anyone is doing it with the V130 successfully.

DV130 works fine as a bridge for VDSL2. There were a couple of firmware issues, but they were resolved last year.

The DV130 works fine with the firmware upgrade. The original release firmware did not.

With the extensive help of my brother inlaw - it all now works but...

ASUS RT-AC66U does not appear to understand IPoE which seems to be what the Draytek needs, so the HG659 is sitting between the modem and the wireless router. I hope there might be a firmware update in the future that removes the need for this.
