For the last two weeks or so my ability to send email has become unstable.
I have no problems downloading email but attempt to send keep getting authorization failures ie 535 #5.70 (Opera)

Also affecting ability to send using default email program on HTC One and ? Thunderbird in Ubuntu.

I havent changed anything (for months with my phone, 2 years with thunder bird and 4 years with Opera)
and seems strange that its affecting a phone and two different pc's.

Has anything changed ?

Should be SSL off, Default port 25, No authentication and it will work as long as your using it over a VF connection.

My ihug account is the only one I use with the default android email program.

I have a gmail account which is separate using the gmail app and I keep the two separate.

Usually 80% of my email is the ihug one and I try to avoid using the gmail at all.

I dont have anything fancy vpn or any other email addresses.

Only connections using the phone is the vodafone data plan or at home using wifi to my router which is also vodafone.

Thanks for your suggestions/patients, good to see its not something screamingly obvious which would be embarassing.

Will fiddle a bit more later (crying baby)

Out of interest, does Vodafone have an smtp server that can be used when not on a Vodafone network?
