Afew weeks ago we were discussing the gaming incentive given to users of particular accounts. I had noticed it in the customer zone. At the time I didn't have an Xbox or PS but now have just purchased one for my son, but now I can't find the link for it. What happened to it?

When you log in to Customer Zone (presumably you're an ex-TelstraClear account holder?), it's under "My Accounts" on the right hand side with button labelled "Gamers choice". I have claimed my 12 months PS+.

Internet is my backyard...

That's where it used to be yes, its not there now.

I have two other orange buttons, Bestmates and Add/Update monthly on account blah blah.

That sounded like "Mobile" Customer Zone?? I think the Gamer's Incentive is for landline/broandband (??)

I am Vodafone On Account plans and Vodafone/TelstraClear Cable internet plan... so I have 2 logins - mobile and customer zone.

Internet is my backyard...

We don't have a mobile account with vodafone, we only have TCL/Vodafone phone/DSL login.

Nope those are the options if you have one of the newer packages since the OnAccount discount and Bestmates became an option.

Personally I didn't want to sign for an additional 12 months on top of the 12 months I already had to agree to so never signed up...

after discussing it with the Vodafone guys afew weeks ago on this forum and then when I finally buy a 360 to find it's not available anymore is abit on the nose. Would have been nice to have it for the son.

It was there not too long ago - I tried to claim the offer (didn't know it was open to existing customers, so finding it suddenly was a surprise) but after agreeing to another 12 months the page said the deal was no longer available. Disappointing!

Hi crazed, I think I can answer your questions.

When the offer launched it was originally for new customers only, we registered interest from existing customers who wanted the offer, loaded up a large amount of free passes and then sent out a communication to let those who had registered know. After awhile all of the existing customer stock was redeemed (a considerable volume).

Only recently was visibility of the [out of stock] passes removed from Self Service, hence the option disappearing. If you had signed up as new customer during the promotional period, you would still see the navigation and be able to redeem a voucher today if you hadn't done so already, hence the discrepancy between some people seeing it (new customers during promotional period) and not seeing it (existing customers).

Appreciate your interest and I apologise that you missed out, will keep your interest in mind for future offers.

Just a comment on that, I registered my interest but never actually saw an email telling me it was available. I think I found out by chance when I was in the CustomerZone one day...

Thanks for your answer Simcore, my original discussion with relation to these passes was in reference to promotions being offered to Console users only and not some sort of promotion aimed at PC/MAC/Linux gamers as well in some sort of way.

I'm not a console gamer, tbh I hate consoles with a passion, and have been a PC gamer for more than 25 odd years, but with the purchase of a Xbox for my son(he requested it to my horror lol), remembered the passes and tried to redeem it, that is when I found that it wasn't available any longer.
