Well if for some insane reason I wanted to run an old phone as a dial in modem and have the number of that phone as my bestmate
would a data call come under the definition of a call according to Vodafone?

If so theres unlimited mobile internet for $6 a month. I know only 9.6Kb/s but it could be useful for the occasional email download while away on holiday.

In the extreme 24/7 days a week  case we could get a maximum of around

1KB/s*3600*24*31

= 2.5 GB for $6!!!
