Would someone much smarter than moi tell me, would a handset bought for Telstra's 4G network work happily here on Vodafone's 4G?

Assuming it's unlocked & the APNs are set, it should be fine, as Telstra use 1800MHz/Band 3 for LTE as well.

May want to check for 900MHz 3G support though, I believe Telstra have the odd hardware variant that's set for their 850MHz NextG & may not have 900.
