Hi everyone,

I've got a friend that owns a business in an area that is never going to be covered by any carrier as far as I can see (not even RBI). They have zero cell coverage, but they do have DSL, and it's surprisingly OK. They're a few kilometres from a main highway, surrounded by hills.

My question is about the number of devices for Sure Signal. Is it four devices simultaneously on calls, or four devices connected to the femtocell total at one time? They will have at least 20 potential users. If it's only four connected total at one time, are there any other viable options?

2 Sure Signal units in the market one supports 4 users and the other 8 users

And it's simultaneously calls

I have one of the smaller units as the signal is not great at home and use only mobiles for our phone needs.

It works well generally. Sometimes misbehaves when we have power cuts etc - and occasionally randomly. You just switch it off and on again and it seems to cure it.

There is a business oriented Sure Signal that supports upto 20 simultaneous users. 4 user capacity is gonna cut you short at the wrong time, especially for a business of up to 20 users :-).

Other than that, they work well enough, good range 10 or so meters outside the house. Not too good when there is a brick wall between the mobile and th sure signal.
And you need a Vodafone account.

As John said, Residential Sure Signal supports 4 users at one time. Need at least 1Mbp/s down and over 500K up. Business Sure signal supports 8, Bit more bandwidth needed.
I dont know of anyone running them side by side. Would it work? I am not sure.
You need to be on a Vodafone broadband plan and need to have a modem that can run it.

*Only works with Vodafone mobiles

20 users really? I know about 8 users

Could someone at Vodafone either trial running them side by side or find out if its possible?

I have a client I'm dealing with who uses sure signal and it works well, however it doesn't cover the entire workspace, we are looking at getting a second one and then running a cable to the second building and placing one there
