HELP!

Bought a new Sony Ericsson W200i and SIM from the Vodafone Store, so apparantly all set up already. Can't send MMS messages - get error message "sending failed unsupported content". Just in case the settings were wrong, checked the Vod site for the configurator to send it to the phone, nothing (apparantly too new - HA). Tried the Sony E support site and sent the Vod settings from there. Still the same prob. 3 phone calls to 777 later - still not fixed (if I hear 'reboot your phone' again I'll spam them!).

Also can't receive PXT's (get the go to website message instead) - but as I understand it, you have to send one to start receiving them on a new ph - but I CAN'T send one!

Is this a phone setting prob of should I keep hounding Vodafone to FIX SOMETHING!

Were you attaching any files to your MMS, audio/video/images?

The W200i can't send certain file types, like MP3, iMelody, BMP and GIF files - it can however receive these file types (as long as the size is under 300kb)

Have you tried manually entering these settings?

- APN	live.vodafone.com
- MMS server address	http://pxt.vodafone.net.nz/pxtsend
- Connection mode	Connection orientated / permanent / continuous connection
- GPRS ID username
- GPRS ID password
- MMS automatic download	On (Automatically downloads full MMS)
- PPP automatic download	PAP (default)
- Proxy authentication password
- Proxy authentication username
- Proxy login type	Automatic (default)
- Security	Off
- WAP gateway IP address	172.030.038.003

Yep just a pic taken with it's camera so should be fine.

Phoned Vodafone yet again today - and asked if the PXT admin thing had actually been enabled by them - turns out IT WASN'T! He tried to do it and got errors all over the place so it's been referred off to the tech geeks and I now have to wait 5 bl#$%y days! Taken 4 phone calls to them, and one store visit - for ME to tell THEM what to check (thanks to an early post on the geekzone forums - yay geekzone!)
