Does anyone here have any experience with putting a mobile eftpos terminal on a prepay sim?

I've bought a backup eftpos terminal only for emergencies, so need a quick/cheap/dirty prepay package just for data for the device.

I'd get a 2D Sim and put $10 on it.  That'll last you 12 months if I recall correctly.  If you need to do EFTPOS, just log onto the 2D site and buy a 50M data pack or similar, I think they're $6.

What's the rate for casual data? Can't seem to find it on the Vodafone website.

Or go on their $10/mth 500MB plan. Then no need to worry about top ups, expiry etc.

2degrees might be your best bet here. Put any pay monthly combo on your main phone, and share the data - http://www.2degreesmobile.co.nz/paymonthly/why-paymonthly/shared-data or go with their 50 or 100MB prepay packs. Alternatively the Vodafone $10 for 500MB plan doesn't look bad, providing you have another vodafone phone on contract to get the discount.
