Hi All,

We have just had a two hour outage of Compass Wireless (the whole of Pukekohe) during which time we lost our VFX service. It took a bit of juggling on my Treo screen through the phone portal to get call forwarding set up to our cellphones.

Is there a setting in the phone portal that allows call forwarding on no connnection? We want to be able to answer the phone or have it go to voice mail after no answer in all other cases except when our internet connection is unavailable.

I don't think it would happen very often. This is the first case of no service in almost 3 months for us.

Cheers,

Matt.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

AFAIK, in this situation your calls are handled by the settings in "Messaging".  You will need to have "Voice Management" set to ON in order to do what you want.

Go into Voice Management and tick the box that says "Send Unanswered calls to Voice Mail" (if you haven't already) and things will be set up the way you want them.

Funny you should ask for this watch this space, there will be a new service availble very shortly, at the present you have call forward on

Always
Busy and
No Answer

very shortly there will be a new call forward option
Call Forward Unreachable , now this option will fit better if the device has lost it's internet connection.

Expect to have this shortly, we are waiting on a couple of things in the back end systems but hopefully in the next few weeks
