My on-account plan has free roaming which means the calling rates are the same as in NZ;
The plan also includes certain amount of data, can I still use the data in Australia while roaming?

If I can still use the data then I would only buy extra DataAngel pack when needed.

Your NZ data can't be used when roaming overseas. You have to use Data Angel.

One plan does have data that can be used between NZ and OZ, What plan are you on?

If not on that plan then Minutes / data are only valid in NZ and you will pay for all incoming calls,

Unless you're on the single plan that does allow roaming using included mins + data in NZ and AU your roaming is not "free". You're charged at the same rate as in NZ, this does not mean it uses your included minutes.

Yeah pretty much this. One thing is that for On Account mobiles $/min would be slightly cheaper than in NZ as Vodafone do not charge GST for roaming. So for eg 49c/min out of plan rate in NZ would be 43c/min roaming rate (outbound calls to NZ/AU) from AU.
