Hi all i was wondering if any of the Telstra people ever ran a DNS service on the HFC network in conjunction with the T Box and if any issues because of using said service ? 




My gear 55" Samsung 4K SUHD LCD HDR , Denon AVR-4200W Reciever in 7.1.2 Surround , Denon 2 Channel Amp to power ceiling speakers , Combination of Polk Audio Fronts And Tannoy Surrounds plus 2 Cambridge Audio Ceiling Speakers Pioneer Downfiring Subwoofer , Oppo UDP-203 UHD Player , Roku Ultra , Apple TV 3

The TBox and the "Internet" run on two separate networks AFAIK so there's no chance of them interfering with each other.

I am not entirely sure what you are saying is correct. Is it possible for the DNS to cause issues with the service ie buffering , audio dropout ?

You've said you're on HFC, so there is no streaming. The t-box is connected via coax.

DNS service shouldn't affect a UFB VF-TV service.

Hi Tim that's what i thought :)

 


... However, if you break it you will own all the pieces.. ;-).

Support is provided for equipment configured correctly for the TV service, that includes DNS settings. Anything else we can't guarantee service.
