Any accont information, including plan, and credit, is stored on the simcard.

So that simcard, no matter the phone it is in, will always have supa-prepay and $xx.xx amount of credit, unless you use it or change the plan.

Account information and plan and credit is not stored on the SIM

The SIM only IDs you onto the network all this information is on the network and billing platforms.

Thats why if you lose your SIM and get a new one you keep same MSISDN and credit and services.

did you not hear about the new service?

It's this wonderful new service that allows you to download the pre pay plans direct to your sim card and you can edit them directly on the phone like a text message!. Did we also mention it is compatible with your nintendo game boy ds too?
Even better, it allows direct downloading of the latest hollywood movies and mario games all totally free of charge, just because we are nice guys.

Lol, this is not true of course.
